oggy411 4,664
The boy over the road has, since last March when he was put on furlough, had his house rewired, got himself a girlfriend, been out every weekend fishing or shagging, had his mate round, often to stay and hasn’t worked a day in that time. Just now he’s taken delivery of a E61 535d, his third car (he’s 23). I’m doing life wrong I think.
Thunderbolt 11,026
I know a fair few people who are furloughed from one job and working another.

Traffic my way is reduced compared to pre-covid times, but it isnt like it was that first lock down when there was maybe 10% of the traffic about. I think it's probably 60-70% of "normal" traffic now. Busy but it moves nicely.

Which is perfectly OK according to the Government rules, so we end up paying people not to work, but then say it is OK to work elsewhere. Tax payer gets humped, some people make double bubble and all perfectly legal. We genuinely have absolute fucking morons running the show right now. The moron in chief will be throwing on his clown suit this afternoon for another performance of "Biffo's big top Corona show" where he will spout absolute bollocks and then squander all the sacrifices everyone has made to bring the infection and hospitalisation rates down after he fucked it over Christmas and created the problem in the first place. The absolute fuckwit. 6

He wasn't born into it like a lot of people. He was knighted for his work as a barrister specialising in human rights and for being head of the DPP and CPS.
