So, main update now is all my nuts bolts, spindles etc have all come back from platers, so essentially, I can now start rebuilding the old girl, and get rid of the considerable amount of boxes and loose parts now refreshed and accumulating.

The vapour blasted items that Jamie did for us.

Been also restoring the clocks, there was a bit of a ding in the ally trim, that I've knocked out and rubbed down, just needs painting now.

An aluminium Tyga fairing brace now replaced the original steel effort.

Also fitted the aluminium bottom yoke with new bearings (Std ones are steel) so some lightweight upgrades to compensate for the Lard I've put on over the years.

Nice. Who did you get to do the plating?

Mate of a mate who works at a platers in Runcorn did it, so unsure of company.

We have a chassis with forks in....

Forgot two sodding needle bearings in the suspension linkage, otherwise it'd have been on its wheels by now.

Progress is accelerating now.

Engine, swingarm linkage all in and torqued up now.

Looking great. Clean finish you have achieved there so far.

I love the simplicity of these old two strokes.

Not after today you wouldn't say that!

Spent the day rebuilding and fitting the carbs, fitted a few ancillaries too.

But really struggled to get the carbs on, until I realised I'd not put the heating on and it was less than 5'c and the carb rubbers were rock hard due.

Give up wait until its warmer, like July.

And so some progress, but some small frustrations to sort.

Replacement rad is from a M model, as they've more capacity than the K model rads, especially with being a 325cc engine now, but little shitty things that need sorting now as the lower bracket is further in on the M model rads

But it's carbon bling making its way into the job.

Completed most of the carb work now, just a spring missing from the left carb airscrew and the choke plunger holders to sourse.

I suppose after 20 years apart some bits go missing.
